Bluesfest International Windsor

Bluesfest International is a 3 day Blues and Roots music festival that resides annually in Windsor Ontario, Canada. This outdoor festival is located on the banks of the Detroit River, in front of Caesars Windsor and opposite Motown, at a location called the Riverfront Festival Plaza. [1] The festival has grown in size and grandeur since its initial appearance in 1995 [2] and in 2008 Bluesfest International held an estimated audience of 30,000 people throughout the weekend. [3] The show is presented from Thursday to Sunday every year on the third weekend of July. Ted Boomer is the creator and producer of Bluesfest International. [4] Leading artists that have attended Bluesfest include Molly Hatchet, Ana Popovic, Taj Mahal, Reverend Robert Jones. [5] This festival relies on corporate and community sponsorship (, CAW Locals 444, and Hampton Inns Hotels to name a few in 2008) and includes a number of non-profit and charitable beneficieries every year.
